How The Boardmann Extra Wide Ironing Board Got Me Excited About Doing The Ironing
It is fair to say that in our household I am the resident geek, I love tech, I love gadgets, but it’s fair to say I never thought I would get excited about an ironing board! However, I was actually wrong and in fact I have been so impressed with my new purchase that I was motivated to write this review. Whilst it would be fair to say that no ironing board should have to support excessive amounts of weight, an ironing board is a tool that is likely to get a lot of usage on a weekly basis. A Special Area That You Can Stand Your Iron On
Another feature that I have grown to love is the large steam iron rest which is an integral part of the ironing board. Although this is beneficial for every type of iron it really comes into its own if you invest in one of the large steam irons which are typically a lot bigger than a traditional iron, whilst also being somewhat heavier. With standard ironing boards, the larger commercial-sized steam irons end up taking up some of your ironing space, and indeed some ironing boards may struggle to cope with the additional weight of those types of irons. Boardmann have thought of this and it is this attention to detail which combined with all of the other small touches has made my ironing experience significantly better.
A Mesh Back
One of the secrets of a good and powerful iron is the amount of steam it can deliver. However, it is critical when ironing that this steam has the opportunity to pass through your clothes and then escape. When steam gets trapped between the ironing board and the clothes it can not only have a detrimental effect on the ironing process, but in addition, it can trap the moisture in the clothing, which is not a desirable outcome.
